Local Produce and Sustainability Fair

Postponed until the Autumn

The Parish Council's Local Produce and Sustainability Fair has had to be postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The Parish Council's Local Produce and Sustainability Fair (originally Local Food and Sustainability Fair) was due to take place on Saturday 28th March 2020 (10-12 in the Parish Hall), but has had to be postponed. It is hoped that it will now take place in the Autumn, when it will aim to showcase local food suppliers, local micro-businesses and those who promote sustainability, as well as promoting local groups, societies and organisations and the wonderful things they do within the parish. A new date will be advertised nearer the time and hopefully you will be able to come along to the Fair then, meet many of these people and the wonderful things that are produced locally, and find out more about sustainability and how we can all help. Below is a list of those who were originally attending the Fair on 28th March with more information about what they do and links to Facebook pages or websites where appropriate. It is hoped that they will all be able to come to the Fair in the Autumn. In the mean time find out more about what they do by following the links for more information.

Recycling for East Devon Juvenile Diabetes Support Group	Recycling of a huge range of packaging that otherwise would end up in landfill. This includes (but is not limited to) all crisp, nut, popcorn or pretzel packets; all biscuit & cake wrappers; all soft bread bags; all sweet & chocolate wrappers; all contact lens packaging and contact lenses; all beauty product caps, lids pumps, sprays, deodorants (not aerosols which can be recycled through normal recycling); all face/discreet wipe packaging, squidgy tubes and pots; all toothpaste tubes, toothbrushes, cardboard, plastic packaging; all Pringles tubes and lids; all disposable gloves; all Ella's Kitchen baby food wrappers; all Weleda tubes; All Aqua Optima water filters. I believe cat and dog food pouches and aluminium tea light cases can also now be recycled.Tens of kg's of recycling are sent off every week raising money for a very worthwhile charity and saving waste from landfill.
